Principal

Hello!

My name is Shawn Lynch and I am very grateful to serve as the Principal of the Kutztown Area Middle School.  I began my time at the Middle School in March of 2023 and enjoyed spending time getting to know the great teachers, staff, and students here at the Middle School. 

Before joining the team at the Middle School, I worked as the Assistant Secondary Principal for the Kutztown Area School District. This role allowed me to learn about the district and gain valuable experience collaborating with teachers and parents to support students and prepare them for their lives after high school.

Prior to coming to the Kutztown Area School District, I spent 9 years at the Arts Academy Charter Middle School in Salisbury Township.  During my time at the Arts Academy, I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies, was the Dean of Students, and was the school’s assistant principal.

My experiences have helped shape my vision for the Kutztown Area Middle School as a place where students can learn the necessary skills to navigate challenging situations, employ self-advocacy, and prepare themselves for success after Middle School.  I look forward to working with you to help our students grow.
